DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...West winds 35 to 55 mph, with gusts of between 70 and 90 mph. * WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and southwest Montana. * WHEN...Until 6 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel could be very difficult to dangerous, especially for high profile or light weight vehicles. Blowing dust or snow could significantly reduce visibility at times. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The most intense are likely to occur through 2 PM Thursday.
INSTRUCTION: Those traveling with high profile or light weight vehicles should consider delaying travel or find an alternate route.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
