Water levels continue to slowly fall, and the river is forecast to fall below flood stage early Friday morning. For the Little Wabash River...including Carmi...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little Wabash River at Carmi. * WHEN...Until Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, The inundation of county roads begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 28.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 PM CDT Monday was 29.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Friday morning and continue falling to 22.2 feet Monday, May 05. - Flood stage is 27.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

A nimbostratus cloud is similar to a stratus cloud in its formless,
smooth appearance. However, a nimbostratus cloud is darker than a stratus cloud,
because it is thicker.
Unlike a stratus cloud, a nimbostratus cloud typically brings with it the threat
of moderate to heavy precipitation. In some cases, the precipitation may evaporate
before reaching the ground, a phenomenon known as virga.

Precipitation in the form of water droplets is called rain.
