DESCRIPTION: At 104 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of Ozona, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe storm will be near... Ozona around 110 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include The Intersection Of Us- 190 And Ranch Road 1828, The Intersection Of Us 190 And Highway 163, Us-190 Near The Crockett- Sutton County Line, and The Intersection Of Highway 163 And Ranch Road 1973. This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 353 and 378.

Altostratus clouds form at mid to high-level altitudes
(between 2 and 7 km) and are created by a warm, stable air mass which causes
water vapor
to condense as it rise through the atmosphere. Usually altostratus clouds are
featureless sheets characterized by a uniform color.
In some cases, wind punching through the cloud formation may give it a waved
appearance, called altostratus undulatus. Altostratus clouds
are commonly seen with other cloud formations accompanying them.
